30 Days of Grateful Mini Album for Blitsy

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!! And a fun filled, extra long weekend. I was honored to join in on the Blitsy sleepover event they had for Black Friday, started decorating my house, and more. Busy, busy!!

But while all that was going on, I was up on the Blitsy blog with my 30 days of grateful mini album. I love the reflection of things to be thankful for and this is a perfect place to store it all and take time every now and then to look back on those things. It helps put things in perspective I think :) Plus, it's super cute!

Festive Wonder Popcorn Box

'Tis the Season!! I'm so excited to share this project I created using the Signature Collection by Sara Davies, Festive Wonder and the Ultimate Tool! It makes making boxes so much fun. This would be perfect for a small gift card, or other little treats to tuck inside.

I created the box using the Sweet Things embossing board for the Ultimate Tool with the 12x12 Festive Wonder Paper Pad. I punched two holes on either side and tied in a nice thick grosgrain ribbon for the handle.

I embossed the tissue! This is such a fun way to add a little extra something to your holiday gift giving. I trimmed the tissue down to a skinner size to be able to fit into my die cutting machine. And honestly, I just folded it to fit inside the 5x7 folder and embossed it once. That's it!

The little square sentiment was using a piece out of the 6"x6" Festive Wonder Paper Pad with my scalloped die and then the Season's Greetings is the new die from the Festive Wonder, Signature Collection by Sara Davies as well. I cut that out of the watercolor cardstock for added texture. I popped it up with some foam adhesive to give it some dimension.

Crafter's Companion has a lot of different items to create boxes, cards, and more!

Festive Wonder Snow Flurry

I can't rave enough about this line of products that are the Signature Collection by Sara Davies, Festive Wonder. Seriously, amazing stuff right here. From metal dies, embossing folders to patterned paper and a great stamp set, they're must haves for winter/holiday crafting.

I made this card using another non-traditional color palette. I chose green, purple and white. And I love the way it came out! Very simple design, so this is definitely one you can recreate in a jiffy.

The embossing folder is probably my absolute favorite. I have a thing for them anyway, but this one is just awesome. Look at the detail in the snowflakes!!

Lawnscaping Challenge #118 sponsored by Lawn Fawn

Good morning! Another fun Lawnscaping Challenge is up today - In with the Old! Dust off those unloved goodies for this challenge. I haven't used a couple of these sets in a little while, so I got to work creating this card.

Our amazing sponsor is Lawn Fawn for this challenge, so be sure to read the rules on the blog and enter your project for a chance to win!!

Here is the card I created for this challenge:

I had an idea that I wanted to use this mailbox but make it just for letters for Santa, with the letters spilling out of it! And why not add a few packages in there? The background was created with several snowflake and star stamps. For the bluish glow around the mailbox, I created a simple mask of it with a sticky note and then rubbed on some light blue ink with a craft sponge. It gives it some dimension and a soft glow that reminds me of blowing snow.

I listed all the products at the end of the blog post. Here are a couple more images of the details on the card!

I hope you enjoyed my oldie but goodie project today! Play around with those forgotten about stamps and supplies and have fun with it! Thanks for checking in!

Peace Holiday Card

Good morning! Be ready for a holiday card overload on my blog in the next month or so!! I have been really good with making holiday cards to be able to mail out a handmade card to every single person on my list, and each one is different and unique. I can't wait to do that this year! I hope you're inspired to do the same, or at least send handmade cards to your closest friends and family.

I've listed the products and linked them up at the end of the blog post, and I will continue to do that so everything is a nice, neat order and you can find everything easily!

Onto the card...

I had wanted to create a holiday card with different colors than the traditional red and green, so I opted for a gold and burgundy color palette and I love how this came out. You'll see that I colored in the large word Peace with my Spectrum Noir Blendable Colored Pencils with a faded look going from the bottom being the darkest to the top being white. I actually colored in the portion you see that is white with a glitter brush pen (really hard to capture on camera!), but it's very pretty and subtle in person!

I also used the dove from the Peace stamp set and fussy cut that out and glued everything down to my burgundy/red embossed piece. I added in sequins for added interest.

Look at non-traditional color palettes for your projects to really make them unique!

Lawnscaping Challenge #117: Thinking of You Sponsored by Ellen Hutson

Having cards of encouragement are always great to have on hand for when you need them! Sometimes a pretty card in the mail is just the pick-me-up someone could really use.

I created this with a lot of white space but yet with a lot of color! Here is what I made:

What I did was create a mask from a sticky note so that I could overlap my flowers from the Flutter By set on the right edge of the card. I colored them in using my Twinkling H20s. They're these beautiful watercolors with a brilliant shimmer to them. Sadly, you can't see that in the photos, but they're so pretty in person. Then I cut out the negative space left in between them. I did this so that I could sneak a patterned paper behind them so they would pop off the card. Love this technique.

For the sentiment, I masked out part of it so that I could stack it. It comes all in one line. You can always cut apart your stamps, but I wanted to leave it all in one line and this is a great way to do that. Just mask out what you don't want to stamp. I used Golden Glitz on this for a sparkle to coordinate with the colored flowers on the right.

I simply flicked on some of the turquoise blue H20s with my water brush pen. Simple look and it adds some bright little dots of color to your projects.

To finish off the card, I added some simple rhinestones in the center of each flower and tied on a twine bow next to the sentiment.

I hope you're inspired to have a fun time creating for this challenge! Make sure you check the Lawnscaping Challenge blog for full details on entering to win.
